The Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy Sentinels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 58-47 defeat to Lutheran. Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lutheran apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Christian Fontaine, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Lutheran. Fontaine hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Rooker, who scored 15 points.
Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-6. As for Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy will head out on the road to face off against Parkway Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lutheran, they will be playing at home against Taylor Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
