On Saturday, the Greene Trojans faced the Charles O. Dickerson Blue Raiders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Greene was dealt a 48-0 defeat at the hands of Charles O. Dickerson. Having soared to a lofty 60 points in the game before, Greene couldn't push the score so high this time.
Jaden Eroshevich threw for 70 yards on eight of 19 attempts. Will Dunlap was his top target, picking up 72 receiving yards. On the ground, Lazarus Ludolph rushed for 41 yards.
Chandler Wright was his usual excellent self, rushing for 186 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. Wright is absolutely dominating the rushing touchdown category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Dikota Hamilton, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Charles O. Dickerson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Greene does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Charles O. Dickerson will head out on the road to face off against Moravia at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Moravia is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
