Florence has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Brady Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Florence was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 37-32 to Comfort. Florence has not had much luck with Comfort recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kaylie Hamm, who scored 11 points. Emerson Herring was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Brady had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Blanco as Brady made off with a 46-26 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Brady has posted since December 7, 2023.
Florence has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-19 record this season. As for Brady, their win bumped their record up to 13-16.
Florence might still be hurting after the 58-38 defeat they got from Brady when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Florence avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
