Baseball Recap: Lake Norman Takes a Loss

Lake Norman has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging three runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They lost 13-6 to the East Rowan Mustangs. The Wildcats have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Andres Acurero made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Nick Mavroudis, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

Lake Norman's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for East Rowan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Lake Norman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-7 victory against Davie on the 13th. As for East Rowan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 win against South Rowan on the 14th.
