After flying high against Water Canyon last Friday, El Capitan came back down to earth. The El Capitan Eagles took a blow against the Bagdad Sultans on Friday, falling 42-8. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Ezrah Aguilar and his top target Thomas Rodriguez. Aguilar threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns while Rodriguez rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards. 105 of those passing yards were hauled in by Joey Kirchoff.
