Chassell and the Bays are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Chassell Panthers will be playing at home against the Dollar Bay Bays at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Chassell will be strutting in after a win while the Bays will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, Chassell narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Copper Kings 42-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chassell.
Meanwhile, Dollar Bay was beaten by the Jets 78-36 on Friday. Dollar Bay has not had much luck with the Jets recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Dollar Bay's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Caleb Kentala, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Jackson Vondoloski who scored seven points.
Dollar Bay struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Chassell pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Dollar Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Chassell didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Bays when the teams last played back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 64-58 victory. Does Chassell have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bays turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
