The Ben Davis Giants had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They rang in the new year with a 57-45 victory over North Central on Friday. The win was just what Ben Davis needed coming off of a 48-25 loss in their prior game.
Zoe Wheeler was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Scottlynn Johnson, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Ben Davis' victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for North Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Ben Davis will be playing at home against Avon at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fishers at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. One thing working in Fishers' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups.
