Alcoa won the last time they faced McMinn Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Alcoa Tornadoes walked away with an 8-5 victory over the McMinn Central Chargers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tornadoes.

Myles Cox made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cox was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Levi Spivey and Miles Watson did most of the damage at the plate: Spivey went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Watson scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Alcoa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McMinn Central only posted an OBP of .267.

Alcoa's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for McMinn Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Alcoa is taking a road trip to take on Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McMinn Central, they will take on Silverdale Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
