LaFayette is on a four-game streak of home losses, Reeltown a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The LaFayette Bulldogs will take on the Reeltown Rebels at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
LaFayette suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by Horseshoe Bend 58-28. While losing is never fun, LaFayette can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Horseshoe Bend is ranked 172nd).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 64-14, which was the final score in Reeltown's tilt against Lanett on Thursday.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Reeltown struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
LaFayette's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Reeltown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
LaFayette was able to grind out a solid win over Reeltown when the teams last played on Tuesday, winning 31-23. Does LaFayette have another victory up their sleeve, or will Reeltown turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
