The Priory Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 54-6 win over Harker. The result was nothing new for Priory, who have now won five matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Priory had a senior duo take command as Hudson Karnes threw for 264 yards and six touchdowns on only 13 passes and Everett Miller picked up 117 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Priory's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Harker, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Priory will take on Crystal Springs Uplands at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Crystal Springs Uplands is ranked 33rd, while Priory is ranked 15th). As for Harker, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity Christian at 2:00 p.m. on October 28th. Trinity Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
