The Bridgeport Bulldogs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Caldwell Redskins at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Bridgeport was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 33-32 to the Cougars. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bridgeport has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Bridgeport saw an underclassman step up: Jaleel Vincent scored 14 points along with two steals. Vincent hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Coen Brinker, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Caldwell lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by Monroe Central 61-28. While losing is never fun, Caldwell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 562nd, while the Seminoles are ranked 79th).
Bridgeport has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Caldwell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.
