Yerington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kp Picotte jr, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Picotte jr has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Rowe, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Yerington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Oasis Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yerington will square off against West Wendover at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in West Wendover's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups. As for Oasis Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Battle Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
