The Lecanto Panthers posted their biggest victory since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They breezed by Nature Coast Tech on the road to the tune of 55-14. With Lecanto ahead 27-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Lecanto found their leader in underclassman Bryleigh Florio, who scored 17 points along with eight steals. Florio is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Xena Bellamy was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
Lecanto is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Nature Coast Tech, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
