The University School of Milwaukee Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Country Lutheran took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on University School of Milwaukee, who comes in off a win.
If University School of Milwaukee beats Lake Country Lutheran with ten runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Wildcats put the hurt on Luther Prep with a sharp 10-4 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
Max Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, University School of Milwaukee got a big performance out of Augie Baum, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Baum has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Andy Werner, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
University School of Milwaukee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Lake Country Lutheran fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Lakeside Lutheran on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-3. The Lightning's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Lake Country Lutheran saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Menzel, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Another was Gabe Snyder, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
The win made it two in a row for University School of Milwaukee and bumps their season record up to 12-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Lake Country Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. University School of Milwaukee has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lake Country Lutheran struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
University School of Milwaukee suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Lake Country Lutheran when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
