Given St. Albert's advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Lynx are ranked 134th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Lincoln saw an underclassman step up: Addie Naughton scored 13 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Hamilton, who scored 13 points.
St. Albert's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Albert will challenge the Vikings on Tuesday. AHSTW is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to challenge the Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
