It was a good run, but the Deerfield Demons finally witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak. On Tuesday, they lost to the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers at home by a decisive 60-45 margin. That's the fewest points the Demons have scored all year.
The loss dropped Deerfield's record to 12-8. Palmyra-Eagle's win brought them up to 19-4.
Deerfield has the luxury of staying at home another game and will welcome Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy Friday. Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy also suffered a recent defeat, falling 67-54 to Williams Bay on Tuesday. Palmyra-Eagle will look to defend their home court Friday against Johnson Creek. Palmyra-Eagle has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
