East Noble hasn't had much luck against Carroll recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
East Noble is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Wawasee get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Knights with their most commanding win of the season.
Jordan Borders made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Borders was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Borders is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other pitching news, Jackson Leedy looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

Back at the plate, Jacob Ramey and Parker Kerr did most of the damage at the plate: Ramey went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Kerr went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Kerr a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Ramey, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
East Noble was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Carroll got the win against Fort Wayne Northrop on Monday by a conclusive 21-2. The Chargers have beaten the Bruins the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bruins has come to flipping the script.
Kyle Young looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Carroll got a massive performance out of Jaxon Sparks, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Sparks has hit this season. Carter Irons was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Carroll's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for East Noble, their record now sits at 4-1.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. East Noble hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Carroll struggles in that department as they've averaged .323. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
East Noble beat Carroll 4-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
