Loris has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Dillon Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Loris can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Aynor 60-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Loris has posted against Aynor since February 13, 2020.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Loris to victory, but perhaps none more so than KHALID SHERMAN, who scored eight points along with three steals. SHERMAN has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. TYLER BROWN was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Dillon's strategy against Georgetown on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Dillon blew Georgetown out of the water with a 75-43 final score. Dillon pushed the score to 57-26 by the end of the third, a deficit Georgetown had no chance of recovering from.
Among those leading the charge was Ta'norre Monroe, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zamaurious Robertson, who scored 14 points.
Loris is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Dillon, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Loris came out on top in a nail-biter against Dillon in their previous meeting on January 10th, sneaking past 78-75. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Robertson, who scored 35 points. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Loris still be able to contain him?
