The Lee-Scott Academy Warriors are on the road again on Friday and play against the Edgewood Academy Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Lee-Scott Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Edgewood Academy likes a good challenge.
Lee-Scott Academy stacked a seventh blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Fort Dale Academy 42-10 on the road.
Lee-Scott Academy can attribute much of their success to Jonathan Meyers, who rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Jake White did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 127 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Edgewood Academy entered their tilt with Lakeside School with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Edgewood Academy slipped by Lakeside School 7-6 on Thursday.
Lee-Scott Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.2 points per game. As for Edgewood Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Everything came up roses for Lee-Scott Academy against Edgewood Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 55-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lee-Scott Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
