Baseball Recap: Freer's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Freer entered their tilt with La Villa on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Cardinals. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Buckaroos considering their two-run performance the match before.

Freer let Brody Ramirez and Trestin Guerra run wild. Ramirez scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Guerra scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave Ramirez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaac Gonzales, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Freer now has a winning record of 9-8. As for La Villa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Freer and La Villa will both be playing Premont the next time they take the field. The Buckaroos will head out to face the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cardinals will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 11th.
