The Kent County Trojans's six-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They breezed by St. Michaels at home to the tune of 49-9. Kent County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Zoe Angenieux was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Kent County's points. Kate Cannon was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Kent County's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6. As for St. Michaels, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Kent County has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Colonel Richardson at 4:00 p.m. on January 8th. Colonel Richardson will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for St. Michaels, they will head out on the road to face off against Easton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
