The Eastland Christian Hurricanes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 74-45 loss at the hands of North Kissimmee Christian. While losing is never fun, Eastland Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 775th, while the Lions are ranked 337th).
North Kissimmee Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Pourchons Morisseau out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 23 rebounds. Morisseau is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Izaiah Noel was another key contributor, scoring 26 points along with five assists.
Eastland Christian dropped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for North Kissimmee Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastland Christian has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Liberty Christian Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Thursday.
