Georgetown hasn't had much luck against Dillon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Georgetown Bulldogs will host the Dillon Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.
Georgetown picked up another tournament win on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging an 80-41 victory over Cheraw. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Braves are ranked 207th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Amos Jones was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two). Jari Ford was another key player, putting up 19 points.
Meanwhile, Dillon waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-57 win over the Bulldogs.
Georgetown better focus on containing Zamaurious Robertson and Jamarion Fling as the pair were huge in Dillon's win. Robertson posted 21 points and three steals, while Fling scored 16 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ejan GrEEn, who put up four points and five steals.
Georgetown has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Dillon, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jones and Robertson. Jones has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 20.2 points, 2.7 assists, and 3.7 rebounds. For his part, Robertson has averaged 14.8 points, 1.1 steals, and 3.2 boards.
Georgetown came up short against Dillon in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 56-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Fling, who earned 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Now that Georgetown knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
