Calhoun Falls Charter's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alexis Sanders, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds, and Autumn Thomas who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanders has scored all season.
Calhoun Falls Charter struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
McCormick pushed their record up to 7-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Calhoun Falls Charter, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McCormick won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Silver Bluff will be looking to extend their current 16-game winning streak. As for Calhoun Falls Charter, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Hornets at 12:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Ware Shoals focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Tuesday.
