The Lexington Wildcats had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 47-42 victory over Lower Richland on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lexington also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2019.
Lexington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kailen Parks out in front who scored 13 points. Evie Godfrey was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 4 steals.
Lexington's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Lower Richland, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-7 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lexington will take on Spring Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Spring Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday. As for Lower Richland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairfield Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
