Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Copan Hornets, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were outmatched by Thackerville on the road and fell 52-6. Having soared to a lofty 72 points in the game before, Copan couldn't push the score so high this time.
Kane Foreman threw for 51 yards and a touchdown. Karson Woodworth was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards. On the ground, Weston O?Rourke rushed for 27 yards.
Copan now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Thackerville, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Copan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thackerville will take on Waynoka at TBD on Friday. Waynoka is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
