The Boyertown Bears can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on Upper Merion Area with a sharp 36-14 victory. The win was just what Boyertown needed coming off of a 35-7 loss in their prior contest.
Cole Yesavage had a dynamite game for Boyertown, rushing for 279 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Yesavage really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. Another player making a difference was Jason Oakes, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Boyertown's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Upper Merion Area's QB won't forget Nicholas Panarello anytime soon given Panarello sacked him four times.
Boyertown's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Upper Merion Area, their loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-8.
Boyertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Upper Merion Area also has no future games currently scheduled.
