The Point Loma Pointers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Coronado with a sharp 5-1 victory. Point Loma's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.
They hit Coronado with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Shea Balelo (2),
Ezekiel Varela (2), and
Ethan Denney.
Point Loma's victory bumped their record up to 4-9-5. As for Coronado, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-14-3 record this season.
Point Loma does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Coronado also has no future games currently scheduled.
