Meanwhile, Triangle Math & Science faced Reagan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Raiders 2-1.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Triangle Math & Science got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 21-25, 20-18.
Seaforth better focus on containing Chris Lange and Shankara Dhamodaran as the pair were huge in Triangle Math & Science's win. Lange had six digs and two blocks, while Dhamodaran had 18 digs. Lange is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season.
Triangle Math & Science has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Seaforth, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.
