Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Woodlawn Prep walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 71-43 victory over the Claiborne Academy Rebels. The Wolfpack have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 22 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodlawn Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cole Sinclair, who went 12 of 20 to rack up 27 points and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Sinclair has scored at least a third of Woodlawn Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Reed, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight assists and five boards.
Woodlawn Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Claiborne Academy only racked up six assists.
Reagan Feazell and Garrett Adams certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Feazell went 6 of 11 en route to 14 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks, while Adams went 6 for 11 to rack up 16 points. What's more, Adams also posted a 55% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2024. Kyler MonK was another key player, putting up eight points.
The win (which was Woodlawn Prep's tenth in a row) raised their record to 27-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Claiborne Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.
Coming up, Woodlawn Prep will face off against Marvell Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodlawn Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Marvell Academy likes a good challenge.
