The Fairfield Indians lost against the Mason Comets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Fairfield suffered a rough 69-48 loss at the hands of Mason. While losing is never fun, Fairfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Mason is ranked 90th).
Mason's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Parrish, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. The contest was Parrish's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Habra, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mason, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Fairfield will head out on the road to face off against Colerain at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Colerain is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Mason will take on Lakota West at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.
