The Windermere Prep Lakers pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Victory Christian Academy. Windermere Prep has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Several Lakers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sinan Huan, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. The matchup was Huan's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Shoptaw, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Windermere Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Victory Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-3.
Windermere Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Gulfport at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Victory Christian Academy and Rockledge will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Rockledge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 627 points over their last nine matchups.
