Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Shaw struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Warrensville Heights posted ten assists.
Warrensville Heights got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Demarionna Branch out in front who scored 14 points along with four steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Ruffin, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Shaw's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Warrensville Heights, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Shaw's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Rhodes at 5:00 p.m. on January 9th. Rhodes' defense has only allowed 25.7 points per game this season, so Shaw's offense will have their work cut out for Shaw. As for Warrensville Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Brush at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
