Catholic Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.
Catholic Central was led to victory by Darien Moore and Sei'Mir Roberson. Moore scored 32 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Roberson went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 6 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Moore has scored at least a third of Catholic Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xaul Arroyo, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Catholic Central pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.0 points per game. As for Our Lady of Lourdes, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-1.
Catholic Central will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Cobleskill-Richmondville at 6:30 p.m. Cobleskill-Richmondville is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. Our Lady of Lourdes will be staying on the road on Sunday to face off against La Salle Institute at 2:00 p.m. on January 14th. One thing working in La Salle Institute's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
