Basketball Recap: Tattnall Square Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was fun while it lasted, but Tattnall Square Academy's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Friday. They lost to the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers on the road by a 81-67 margin. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 80-77.

When it comes to explaining why Tattnall Square Academy lost, don't look at Antone Johnson. Despite the final result, he posted 25 points. Johnson's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Whit Davidson, who had 13 points.

Central Fellowship Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Emory out in front who put up 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaheem Barbosa, who posted 19 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tattnall Square Academy fell to 4-1. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Tattnall Square Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-35 win against Windsor Academy on the 14th. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 70-40 victory against Covenant Academy on the 14th.
