Creekside has gone 6-1 against Orange Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. The last three games Creekside has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Creekside is returning to their home field after beating Baldwin on theirs, despite the fact Baldwin has dominated at home this season. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indians on Monday, sneaking past 3-1. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly two runs.
Carly Dall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Creekside's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emma Campbell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Madison Muniz, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orange Park). They blew past St. Augustine 22-12 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won five in a row.
Avery Louque was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and seven unearned) runs off seven hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her six plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Orange Park got a massive performance out of Addison Toledo, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with five runs and three RBI. Those five runs gave Toledo a new career-high. Abigail Dennison was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
Orange Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .681. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Creekside has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Orange Park, their win bumped their record up to 4-16.
Creekside beat Orange Park 5-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
