  Gavin Hawkins and  Tristyn Faulk certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss.  Hawkins  posted 16  points, while  Faulk  scored seven points along with nine  rebounds and four  steals. Faulk is also on a roll when it comes to  three-point shooting accuracy, as he's  posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's  played.  Marcus Fortner was another key player,  putting up six  points.
 It was another big night for  Nate Luce, who  shot 42% from the field to rack up 17 points and six  steals for Wapahani. Those  six  steals gave  Luce a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Camden Bell, who  went 5-for-9  on his way to 12  points.

Western Boone moved to 11-15 with that  defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Wapahani, the  victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 26-1.
