Pam Boyarko made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September of 2023. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Kayleigh Garcia was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sofia Romero, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Palmer Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis-Palmer only posted an OBP of .250.
Air Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Palmer Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season.
