The Harlem Huskies will head out to challenge the Belvidere North Blue Thunder at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Belvidere North will be up against a hot Harlem squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Everything went the Huskies' way against Boylan Catholic on Friday as they made off with a 14-3 win.

Rylie Adams made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Addie Henderson and Adriah Sholl did most of the damage at the plate: Henderson went 3-for-5 with one home run and two RBI, while Sholl went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits Sholl has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Joslyn Agustin, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and one RBI.
Harlem kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Belvidere North had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 11-5 victory. That's two games straight that the Blue Thunder have won by exactly six runs.
Ava Morris made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Morris was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabelle Schadle, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Miley Dobbs was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Harlem's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Belvidere North, their record is now 16-8.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Harlem hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Belvidere North struggles in that department as they've averaged .375. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Harlem couldn't quite finish off Belvidere North when the teams last played back in April and fell 10-8. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
