The Jones County Greyhounds were the 73-71 winner over the Warner Robins Demons when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Jones County took a 73-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Warner Robins on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), Jones County still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Jones County still got an impressive performance from Jaden Stanley, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Tyler Wold was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Jones County has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-6 record this season. As for Warner Robins, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jones County will take on Ola at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ola will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 378th, while Jones County is ranked 75th). As for Warner Robins, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Northside at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th. Northside is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.9 points per game.
