Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atlanta Classical Academy). They strolled past the Mt. Zion Eagles with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 61-43. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-47 back in December of 2024.

Sally Berry continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 25 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Atlanta Classical Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Anna Gray Hart, who posted 11 points.

Atlanta Classical Academy's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-8. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.3 points per game. As for Mt. Zion, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlanta Classical Academy will venture away from home to take on Elite Scholars Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. Zion, they and Haralson County will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
