Given Hammond Bishop Noll's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Hanover Central is ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hammond Bishop Noll's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaedin Reyna led the charge by scoring 17 points along with four steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Parks, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Hammond Bishop Noll's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Hanover Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hammond Bishop Noll won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Andrean at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th. Andrean has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hanover Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Griffith at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
