The Northfield Nighthawks came tearing into  Friday's  game with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy  77-59 win over Skyview. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
  Aliyah Herron continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  dropping  a triple-double on 15 points, ten  rebounds, and ten  assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Nashara Ellerbee, who  scored 17 points along with two  blocks.
 Skyview's loss  came despite strong showings from  Nevaeh Lucero and  Leila Estrada.  Lucero  scored 19 points along with eight  assists and five  rebounds, while  Estrada  scored 18 points along with six  assists and two  steals. Lucero continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played.  Marisol Recendez was another key contributor,  scoring five points.
 Northfield pushed their record up to 11-1 with that  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Skyview, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northfield will take on Denver West at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Skyview, they will be playing at home against Gateway at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
