Valley came out on top against Hope Christian on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Vikings were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Huskies. Considering the Vikings have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Aaliyah Diggs was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Nevaeh Tafoya was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hope Christian only posted an OBP of .158.

With the victory, Valley broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-12. As for Hope Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.

Coming up, Valley will square off against West Las Vegas at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dons have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Hope Christian, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-15 loss against Hozho Academy on the 26th.
