The Round Rock Westwood Warriors will be playing at home against the Manor Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Round Rock Westwood will be strutting in after a victory while Manor will be coming in after a defeat.
Round Rock Westwood put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 49-20 win over Stony Point. Given Round Rock Westwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Stony Point is ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Demani Stewart, who rushed for 125 yards and four touchdowns. Stewart hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games. Owen Norrell was another key contributor, throwing for 196 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Manor was the victim of a rough 36-16 defeat at the hands of Vista Ridge on Friday.
Despite the defeat, Manor got a solid performance out of Titus Petteway, who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Round Rock Westwood's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.5 points per game. As for Manor, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Round Rock Westwood took a serious blow against Manor in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 44-9. Thankfully for Round Rock Westwood, Quinten Joyner (who rushed for 174 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
