The Olentangy Braves were the 72-45 winner over the Hilliard Darby Panthers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Olentangy fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 46-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Olentangy has scored all season.
Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ulysses Ponder, who scored nine points along with two steals. Ponder has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Quentin Page was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Olentangy's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Hilliard Darby, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olentangy will face off against the Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Olentangy Orange is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Hilliard Darby, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Watterson is on a four-game streak of home losses, the Panthers a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
