Manchester is a perfect 10-0 against L.C. Bird since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Skyhawks at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Manchester is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Huguenot get on the board and left with a 25-0 win on Tuesday. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Landon Anderson and Tyson Penepacker made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Anderson struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Penepacker struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Anderson got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one double, while Penepacker went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave Anderson a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Malachi Queisenberry, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Owen Rogers was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Manchester kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, L.C. Bird can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Richmond High School for the Arts with a sharp 21-5 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Manchester now has a winning record of 7-6. As for L.C. Bird, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-10.
Manchester took their win against L.C. Bird in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 16-3 score. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Skyhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
