The Dixie Flyers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Desert Hills 78-47 at home. With Dixie ahead 38-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Dixie had a senior duo take command as Breckon Robinson scored 30 points along with three steals and Logan Weidauer dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. Kyle Lemke was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Dixie pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points per game. As for Desert Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dixie will square off against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Desert Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Snow Canyon is ranked 31st, while Desert Hills is ranked 44th).
