The Highland Park Scots can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Harmon 59-8 at home. The victory was nothing new for Highland Park as they're now sitting on three straight.
Leading Highland Park to victory were Pearmella Carter and Angelique Gowan-Britt. Carter scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Gowan-Britt almost dropped a triple-double on nine points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. Gowan-Britt is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tahtionna Broils, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Highland Park pushed their record up to 10-5 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39.9 points. As for Harmon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10-1.
Highland Park won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Atchison at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. One thing working in Highland Park's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Harmon, they will head out on the road to square off against Hogan Prep Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harmon comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last 11 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
