The Fort Osage Indians lost against the Kearney Bulldogs back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fort Osage took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kearney. Fort Osage has struggled against Kearney recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kearney to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jojo Kutch, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Kutch continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Lincoln, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Fort Osage's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Kearney, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Osage will take on Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Park presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fort Osage in Missouri (Oak Park is ranked 97th, while Fort Osage is ranked 262nd). As for Kearney, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Grain Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th.
